Masalah Forum Inggris (Please Read)

This forum especially made for anyone who don't understand Indonesian language, or who want to discuss automotive in English language.

Please don't hesitate to join and discuss anything about automotive here. For all member, please use English language only in this forum.

Em.. nop..
This forum should be only talk about automotive only, just like the main purpose of this site.
But, if there are many request to talk not only about automotive, maybe I will make another S&R forum in English.

Just wait and see what will happen next..

Anyway.. hope this new forum can make this site better place to visit

Can I give you a small idea?

I think it would be better if you don't make another category such this English Forum.
It would better to do the ol' way....but anyone can post 'in english' thread. So we still can use different categories too...

Just put something like "ENG" in the front of the title of the post/thread, we all should know that particular post is in english and everyone should reply with english too....

How about that mr. Admin? Just a small idea from a loyal poster...

I'm in favor with Mr. Gauss' approach, Mr. T0mc4t.

A stand-alone English forum would not be needed, as the majority of our members speak Bahasa as their mother language. I'm concerned the English forum will not be as popular and will die eventually

Funny, I joined this forum because I was looking for fellow Indonesians in the first place. There are thousands of car forums in English out there, but I find your SerayaMotor unique, in the best possible way

As the purpose to this whole thing is to attract more participants to the forum, I'd say that this is not the effective way, as a percentage of the posts made are in English already.

With a lot of new cars coming in 2005, I think we will see the forum come back to its glory some time from now..

I guess if you want this forum to "go-international", off course you will need somekind of 'special thread/post' with english language.

For example is my mailing list (CBR CLUB's Milis), there were few people from UK & Europe (CBR125 owners) joined my milis to gain information about CBR125/150. But eventually, they read most of messages in indonesia only. So they unsubsribed right away....pittiful off course.....I've should prevent it, if I could tell them in some way that we can reply them in english if necessary.

most foreign visitor not spend more time than us, because commonly our topic is in indonesian languange. so they think would wasting time they don't understand at all .
Althought we have few topic in english, we cannot make them stable for long time.
what about the others opinion

Anyway, I'm still waiting for the other member's oppinion, whether we should or should not make the forum. Or just do what Mr Gauss said, put the words "ENG" in the front of the topic.

Based on the majority of the oppinion, it seems that English forum hasn't necessary yet to be used.
But, if there any other oppinion from other member, I will happy to listen

Every SM member can learn english from each other in that forum so i guess no matter if u put that forum in this site!!!

Who knows someone with get some benefit from that forum, just like me! I has a poor english, so i can learn more from SM member.

My point is if Tomcat would like to go international than he should create an entirely seperate forum site with new domain .

But if the purpose is to improve written English among SM members than an English forum in SM will just do enough.

My primary purspose to have english forum is to let others (foreigners) who don't understand Indonesia Language can also join and participate in this forum, in addition also to practice our (SM members) English Language.

However, to change all the language here become English is not posible since SM motto is "Indonesian Automotive Discussion Forum"

I think we can start with Gauss idea which is using "ENG" words in front of the topic to tell the members that that topic using English Language

What do you think guys/gals?

Anyway.. once again thanks for all the suggestion and oppinion.
