@Bro singkong: It's more or less same with your Shogun R 125, only different in some accesories. Care to share your modification?

My shogun still in standard conditon, so..i now i'm gathering as much information as possible to modify my ride. Prefer lite modify..like changing carburetor or clutch.

For your information, my top speed only 100kp/h..i think it quite slow for 125cc bike. i just bought NSR carb..but not install it yet, i wonder if change must be made first before installing it to my shogun. what pilot jet/main jet combination most suite this upgrade?

Based on the picts attached on the above link, you might need to prepare rubber manifold for the outlet of the carb. You can use the manifold from Suzuki TRS.

It's an old type of Suzuki (2-stroke sport type).

Tahu, boleh nemu. Itu juga nyarinya setengah mampus berhubung motornya dah lama banget.

@apiz: for clutch pads, you can replace them with these ones from Suzuki Satria 120R (with smaller pad size then the original Shogun's clutch pads).

You can replace the springs, but some testimoni said that the after market springs are somehow can't hold long enough. Only can hold few months.

Cheapest solution: just add rings to the original clutch springs :e-whistle:

Btw, about the manifold, you might need to bring the carb with you to test if it can hold the outlet firmly or not.

Additional information from the expert. If the machine is still in standard condition, with PE26 the performance on the lower RPM might be less. If you want to boost it up without boring up the machine (expand the displacement), you might need to port-n-polish the intake.

Hi Apiz..u seem to be a little confused with your shogun. Anyways im a shogun 125 owner too..from jb,m'sia :).

I wish to give u a bit of tip for this machine..mayb it may help.

I can tell u tht almost all 4-stroke mini bikes uses d same concept...now d prob wit suzuki bikes in m'sia isn't like in indon..
they re expert in suzuki & have plenty of racing parts (specialize in CDI's :P )
I can bet u if u ask any foreman in m'sia to bikin yr bike, definately yr money is gonna get burn.
My advise is safe yr money & dont change any [cencored] if u re not sure.

Well about carburetion, better not crack yr head on it....u will haf lot of choices of it in m'sia atself...
So far d best i could think of is keihin PE28mm(honda cbr150)...u may also use VM26mm(rxz), VM28mm(kawa kips 150) or if u wanna look for cheaper alternative look for UMA racing carbs..various sizes from 24mm-32mm
(P/S using big carbs doesn't mean u can increase yr bike power. Right choice of carb according to yr cc & intake valve /head & right tuning combination of yr PJ & MJ is d 1 will unlock yr bike potential.
