kecuali bener2 ngotot mau nyari sedan. klo buat sedan kelas 1800cc, kyknya ini mmg yg best value buat skrg ini
opsi laen : fiesta ntar mau kluar, konon sedannya jg ada. tp cc <1800. harga (kmgkinan besar) lbh murah

Om, bukannya RPM itu identik dengan putaran flywheel dan harusnya linear dgn Kmh (sesuai rasio transmisi dan final gear) ya.. ? Aneh juga...

emy wey bus de wae, dengar2 si curuz ini kaca filmnya bullet resistance ya.. semua varian atau yg paling tinggi doang ? Asyik juga tuh punya mobil anti peluru...

But some things just aren’t worth a low price. Case in point: the Cruze’s engine. The 1.8L machine produces 140HP of which I could only feel around 105 actually doing any work. And what little output it could muster produced more than its share of an unlovely noise. It’s an old-school engine that has somehow found its way into a new car, and it ruins the experience. Picture a car that feels well-made but which at highway speeds has a gruff, obtrusive, strained sound coming from its engine department: that’s what the Cruze I drove was like. (I also spent an hour in a Cruze equipped with the 110HP 1.6L engine. It’s slightly sweeter, but the sound is still gruff, and it’s so weak you have to thrash it all the time, so it’s not an alternative). Apparently the Diesels are the pick of the bunch, but they come at a steep, three-grand price premium. At a reported 25MPG, the tested 1.8L is not exactly economical either.

I didn’t like the overly snatchy brakes or the late-action clutch, either. And speaking of snatchiness, the ignition lock is snaggly.

In contrast to the engine, the Cruze’s ride and handling are perfectly acceptable in the grand scheme of things. The Chevwoo doesn’t communicate like an Euro-market Focus or cosset like a Renault Megane but it felt capable at a wide range of jobs – city, highway, high-speed (110 MPH) autobahn. The bias is definitely on comfort, but the ride-handling compromise is quite good. And wind and ride noises are pleasantly low.

But back to the engine problem: how can it be that a major car company introduces a new global model with a dud motor? Well, I’m going to speculate that this is the product of a major planning malfunction; it’s the only explanation I can think of. Somewhere along the line, somebody upstairs at GM may have realized that the Cruze had as much interior space as the poorly-packaged, larger yet cramped Opel Insignia / Buick Regal. And that it beats the similar Opel Astra on several counts – but all at a seriously lower price. How to protect the Opels from the Chevys? How to keep the Daewoo off Buick’s neck?

Plus nya ini mobil sepertinya interiornya (kalo dari foto) - eksteriornya dulu waktu baru liat pertama kali (sekitar thn 2007 an) keren...skrg udah 2010, udah tua tampangnya - padahal baru keluar. Civic masih the one to beat di segmen ini.

The Cruze is also significant because Chevrolet claims it ushers in a new styling strategy for the brand. We have to wait to see what that means for future Chevys, but we can say that the Cruze definitely looks good from nearly every angle. The front end is aggressive and powerful, and the rear impresses with its wide stance and taillights similar in shape to those of the BMW 7-series and Lexus LS. Perhaps the least original aspect is the side view; we have seen this roofline and window opening on many cars, although rarely on such a compact model. On the road, the proportions seem just right. The Cruze manages to look masculine and cool, unlike most of its competitors, which, frankly, can be slightly embarrassing to be seen in.

The Cruze is low on breakthrough technologies, but it is a thoroughly well-engineered car, with an ultra-strong structure and low center of gravity. GM says 65 percent of its body and structure are made from high-strength steel.

The overall feel of the Cruze’s cabin is far superior to those of the Reno/Lacetti and the Forenza/Nubira that it replaces. "We wanted to take that plastic feeling out," says GM Daewoo vice-president of design Tae-Wan Kim. The upper part of the dashboard is finished in cloth or a leather-type material, and a twin-cockpit theme tries to evoke classic Corvettes. Even the headliner is made of a rich-looking woven material not typically used in this segment.

Competition here in the U.S. includes the Ford Focus, the Dodge Caliber, the Toyota Corolla, the Honda Civic, the Nissan Sentra, and the Volkswagen Jetta. Compared with these, the Cruze holds its ground very well. The ancient Ford Focus and the crude Dodge Caliber do not stand a chance against this Chevy. (Ford still plans to introduce the global third-generation Focus to the U.S. for 2011, however, which should put up more of a fight.) A Volkswagen Rabbit/Golf or Jetta might be more fun to drive, particularly with the dual-clutch transmission, but they will be more costly as well. And the Toyota Corolla looks painfully generic next to the aggressively styled Cruze.

Eksterior: Overall proportion bagus, depan bagus. Belakangnya still too Korean, buruk rupa. Pelek yg dipake pelek Cruze versi rendah (beda dengan yg kita liat di foto2 luar negeri)...sepertinya kekecilan pelek. It's not an ugly car, tapi kalo dibandingkan pesaing2nya (Civic, Corolla versi Asia, Lancer, dll), sepertinya kurang "bersinar", kurang menarik. It already looks old.

Interior: Pertama masuk, impressive! Bentuk keren, posisi duduk muaantab, kursi seperti memeluk tubuh. Akhirnya setir palang tiga standar baru GM masuk juga ke Indonesia (dan mantap banget megangnya ini setir). Design interiornya 2 level diatas produk Chevy lainnya yg ada di Indonesia...alias jauh banget. Backseat space...11-12 lah sama pesaingnya. Materials 11-12 juga sama pesaing2nya. Tapi waktu saya main2in menu audionya...waduh, itu screennya kaya screen jaman computer masih pake pencetan "turbo"...alias jelek banget (warna screen biru jreng, tulisan putih). Sayang sekali, selain itu I like (love!) this interior.

Fitur: Yg menarik 6-speed matic dan stability controlnya - selain itu biasa saja. Ane gak test drive jadi gak tau bagus gak maticnya, abis udah malem. Percaya ama om Turboman aja deh...

Conclusion: Would I buy this over the Corolla? Maybe, but probably not. Would I buy this over the Civic? Definitely not.

Kesan pertama dari belakang mirip bgt ama Civic (kita masih berdiri di eskalator ke lt 2, bokong si Kuruz udah keliatan). Teman saya jg komen "Mirip Civic". Kita bandingkan lagi lebih jelas.. (pic copot internet). Mirip banget ya.....?
