Tips mencegah kejadian ban motor tertancap paku:
1. ikuti saja lintasan ban motor lain didepan anda, kalau lagi banjir ini juga efektif untuk menghindari motor terjerembab dilubang yang tergenang air.
2. bila berkendara malam hari usahakan mengidentifikasi objek-objek dijalan dan konsentrasi. jangan lupa lampu ganti yang halogen biar terang.
3. berdoa.

eh, eh, eh...gw salah satu korbannya tuh!!! malah malem2 lagi, pas boncengan ma cewe gw, jem 9 malem! malah gelap lagi, terpaksa gw lewat bawah (kiri) fly over, naekin aja tuh motor, rusak belakangan, yg penting selamet. ada kali 500 meter baru ketemu tukang bannya. sedikit OOT..
hari minggu kemaren sy ada perlu jalan ke Tj Priok(diboncengin) ama sodara yg orangnya emang rada konyol dan nekat. melintas di by pass arah ke Tj Priok. pas dijalanan tiba2 ban motornya kempes. udah pasti kena ranjau paku nih.
pas disitu cuma ada satu orang doang tukang tambal ban.
pas motor qta dorong sampe ke tkg tambal ban tsb. tkg tambal itu tanpa basa-basi lsg minta ganti ban dalem aja. sodara sy bilang coba diperiksa dulu. tp si tkg tambal alasan bilang gak ada alat2nya, belum belanjalah segala macam tetek bengek disebutin.
si tkg tambal pura2 sibuk cari2 alat padahal udah jelas ada kunci2 dan sendok ban disitu. ada jg lem dan karet bekas ban dalam buat tambal. tp doi tetap pura2 sibuk spt cari2 sesuatu. tampaknya doi mau mengulur2 waktu.
udah deh..
qta aja deh yg kerjain..gitu kata sodara sy. doi emang orangnya serba bisa; mulai bongkar-pasang mesin bajaj sampe mesin jahit jg dia bisa.
tapi si tkg tambal tsb tetap bilang gak bs dan kembali alasan yg gak jelas.
dari sifat sodara sy ini bisa ditebak kalo bakalan ribut2 deh ama tuh tukang tambel ban. tinggal sy yg deg2an aja.
sodara sy trus emosi..
situ maunya apa sih? sebelum ribut2 sy tanya deh ama tuh tkg tambal kalo ganti ban dlm brp emangnya? doi bilang 80 ribu!!! gila!!
makin naik darah sodara sy..
apa mo gw obrak-abrik neh kios? kata sodara sy..gw panggil temen gw anak2 M**k*r di Lagoa loh? tkg tambal jg udah siap2 mo ribut. ampir aja dihajar tuh tkg tambal ama temen sy.
sblm terjadi kerusuhan..
sy coba tawar..udah deh, bang..sy ada duit segini neh tolong dong..kalo gak kita deh yg kerjain deh..situ jg entar qta bayar jg deh.
akhirnya sy cuma keluar duit 5rb buat tambal ban satu lobang aja. itu jg msh sy tambah lg 2rb perak..
setelah suasana reda..
akhirnya sy bilang ke tkg tambal itu..bang kalo mo cari duit jgn spt itu. okelah qta jg siap keluar uang lebih buat skdr tambal ban yg penting qta sampe ditujuan. akhirnya doi ngeluh soal sikon apalagi kehidupan jalanan yg serba keras. doi jg ngaku kalo tebar paku itu mereka yg melakukan tp doi bilang jgn bilang siapa2 yah..enggak koq sy bilang..cuma ke SMer doang hehe..
kesimpulannya..
tukang tambal itu org jalanan mrk emang siap melakukan apa aja demi makan. mau digampar sekeras apa jg mereka siap. kalo cuma qta gertak doi gak bakalan 'ngeper'
akan lbh bermakna kalo qta pake cara yg baik dlm menghadapi mereka.

Gw udah ada 3 kali lebih kena ranjau di Gatot subroto arah ke cawang. Tempatnya selalu sama, datang dari mampang, naik flyover arah ke cawang, sekitar 300-500 meter dari flyover langsung kempes.
Tapi gw udah bersumpah nggak bakalan nambal ban di tukang tambal yg paling deket. Ogah gw ngasi duit ama tukang ranjau. Gw dorong ampe dewi sartika. Pas gw lewatin tukang tambal yg (gw curigai) penebar ranjau, biasanya di tanya "ntar pelek nya rusak lho Pak". Gw jawab ngasal aja "Mo sekalian ganti pelek, tapi di depan sono ". Lumayan, sama2 sebel jadi nya.

Sebelum belok ke dewi sartika harusnya ada beberapa tambal ban. Gw selalu berharap mereka udah buka, tapi karena masih terlalu pagi (6.30), selalu aja nggak ada yg buka, kecuali si tukang ranjau itu. Emang dia udah siap2 kali mo nampung rejeki haram.

Whatsmore, the better it works, the quicker it wears out, ensuring that there’ll be a market next year because 75% of the tires sold will be replacements. Quite remarkably, despite such ubiquitous usage, the pneumatic tire has a massive Achilles heel – lose the air and it stops the vehicle.

The most-read story in the history of this fine publication is about Michelin’s Tweel, the first viable alternative to the pneumatic tire in more than a century with its greatest asset being that it doesn’t go flat.
Now there’s another flat-proof inflation system based on individual balls or air cells that has evolved from motorcycle off-road racing, where to win, you need to be able to finish the race. Tire Ball not only offers virtual flat-proof characteristics but simultaneously improves traction and improves suspension performance.
Right now it’s a technology that’s only commercially viable for off-road RV and motorcycle racing but materials technology promises to ultimately lead to highway applications for the product. kalau gue sih gue tenteng aja ...sampe ketemu tukang tambal lagi....
memang nasib kalau masih pake ban model tube tyre....
Ban gue aja sudah 10 tambalan....padahal ban masih 6 bulan
