"One of the hottest new trends in the automotive market today is the push toward the super compact hatchback. It has given way to a number of popular small cars like the Smart ForTwo and the Nissan Versa. One such car was the Yaris hatch, but some people complained that it was a little too small. That's why Toyota developed the Auris -- Latin for "good taste" -- a five-door hatchback based on the Corolla sedan. In this way, it can be thought of as the younger (but bigger) brother to the Yaris.

Much of its styling cues come from its tinier sibling, including the bulbous lines and somewhat sporty feel. But alas, there don't appear to be plans to bring the Auris to North American shores, perhaps for fear of cannibalizing their own sales."

Toyota has killed off the Corolla name in Europe and replaced it with the all new Auris, in a move reminiscent of Ford's Escort to Focus switch.

Although the Auris is billed as a concept, it's production ready bar a few minor details. What you see here is what you'll get when the three- and five-door hatches arrive in uk showrooms early next year.

Expect a slight price rise; the Auris will kick off around Ã‚Â£11,500.

Ternyata pengganti Corolla hatchback toh. Emang designnya mirip dgn YARIS, terutama grill dan bumper yg menjadi ciri khas Toyota.
Menurut gw sih modelnya biasa2 aja.

Belom pernah ada sejarahnya...(kecuali IU)

Tapi kalopun masuk, dah ada yg nongkrongin kelas itu,

Yang resmi diluncurkan di Paris modelnya masih lebih oke dibandingkan yg di Jepang.

Cuma gw kurang suka dgn model tuas gear yg terlalu tinggi dan posisinya terlalu depan.

Emang dari dulu Toyota Corolla versi hatchback tidak pernah dimasukkan secara resmi oleh ATPM.

Tapi kalopun masuk, dah ada yg nongkrongin kelas itu,
misalnya Nissan Latio 1.8

Nissan Latio di lepas OTR 205jt. Berarti kalo Corolla versi hatchback masuk harusnya dikisaran 200-230jt.

Kata siapa tuh bro Mike ? Justru biasanya market leader-lah yg hrgnya selalu diset lebih tinggi.
Contoh : All New Camry vs Teana. Lebih mahal dikit Camry 1 jt-an. Fortuner vs X-Trail jauh lebih mahal Fortuner. Altis vs Sentra, lebih mahal Altis. Nissan di Indonesia hrgnya selalu lebih murah.

Dulu ada model Corolla Liftback boss... tapi memang bukan yg hatch sih

Oh Corolla Liftback itu yg kaca belakangnya nyatu sama bagasi tapi bentuknya mirip2 sedan gitu kan. Mazda jg ada yg liftback kan. Tp itu model 90-an.

wajarlah kalo Corolla Liftback dilupakan orang...ga gitu laku sih...

Kalo Mazda yg liftback itu 626, dan akhirnya 626 selalu punya model liftback hingga akhirnya diteruskan jadi Mazda6

Mazda 626 juga punya kembaran Ford Telstar yg berbasis sama, ada saloon 4 pintu dan liftback 5 pintu juga..

Ford Telstar gw pernah liat yg warna abu2 gelap. Jarang banget nih keliatannya. Mazda 626 masih lebih banyak dikit.
