Modifikasi : Mitsubishi Lancer EVO VIII
Toda Racing dari Costa Mesa (California) bikin transformasi sangar pada sebuah Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII. Keajaibanya terletak di balik kap mesin; high perfomance pelahap aspal.
Jantung dari ubahan yang dilakukan Toda adalah stroker kit 2.300cc lansiran Toda Racing. Ini pun masih ditambah metal head gasket, adjustable cam pulleys, 'mid' camshaft Tomei, Apexi Power FC Engine management system, dan sistem turbo XS. 'Bumbu - bumbu' ini membuat mobil dapat menelurkan tenaga 480 dk.
Daya maksimal disalurkan dengan mulus melalui transmisi dengan flywheel ringan dan kopling high power. Untuk mengimbangi tenaga gede itu, suspensi standar dipensiunkan diganti dengan Fightex coil-over suspension, sturtbar Cusco dan velg Work Emotion CR 18 inci.
Demi menjamin keamanan pengemudi, roll-bar Cusco 7 titik pun di-install. Jok Recaro SRD, pedal set dan shift knob Ralliart mempertegas jiwa high performance. Namun, tinggal satu masalahnya, siapa yang berani mengendarai 'monster aspal' ini?
